Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s furious argument on Monday at the conclusion of the IPL
game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants went viral on social
media and both received warnings for violating the IPL 2023 Code of Conduct during the
match between their teams. After RBC won the low-scoring thriller, Kohli and Gambhir got
into a physical altercation on the pitch that involved numerous other players.

It appeared like everything was OK as Kohli and Gambhir shook hands after the game, but
that was only the calm before the storm. Then Kyle Mayers, the first batter for LSG,
approached Kohli and appeared to say something. Then Gambhir arrived and removed
Mayers, but tensions began to rise. Later, footage from the game showed Gambhir and
Kohli having a lively conversation. The two were separated by a few other players and
Lucknow captain KL Rahul. Later, Rahul and Kohli also spoke.

Both Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Coach Gautam Gambhir of the Lucknow
Super Giants have been fined 100% of their match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct
during a TATA Indian Premier League 2023 match.

According to the IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.21, Mr. Gambhir and Mr. Kohli admitted to
the level 2 infraction.

Naveen-ul-Haq, a bowler for the Lucknow Super Giants, was fined 50% of his match money
and breaking Article 2.21% of the IPL Code of Conduct, which is a level 1 infraction for
