Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs with a 34-run win against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday. GT leads the points standings with 18 points after 13 games, with their last league game away against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday. Shubman Gill scored 101 runs off 58 balls for Gujarat Titans in their 34-run victory over SRH.
Gill achieved the century mark in just 56 balls, becoming the reigning champ’s first centurion. He hit 50 off 22 balls and then kept his cool despite wickets coming at the other end to reach three figures.
Gill now has a century in Tests, ODIs, T20Is, and the IPL. He is one of only a handful of players to have accomplished this accomplishment. In addition, he has scored 500 runs in the IPL 2023.
