According to a report, 163 Indian companies invested 40billion Dollar in the US, generating 4.25 lakh jobs.

As per the report, as many as 163 Indian companies have already spent more than
USD 40 billion in the US, which has resulted in the creation of close to 425,000
employees.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) survey, “Indian Roots, American Soil,”
which was released on Wednesday by Taranjit Singh Sandhu, India’s ambassador to
the US, in the presence of Eric Garcetti, the US ambassador-designate to India, also
showed that Indian companies spent nearly UAD 185 million on corporate social
responsibility in the US, and they funded nearly USD 1 billion in US-based research
and development (R&D) projects.

The Indian ambassador said that he was astounded by what Indian businesses had
accomplished in the US in terms of neighborhood transformation and collaboration
with educational institutions. “They help local communities and work with academic
institutions, going beyond simply creating good cycles of employment, investment,
and growth in the US.

“Indian businesses operating in the US give the country strength, resiliency, and
competitiveness. They strengthen local communities, produce jobs, and increase
technical know-how and capability. They produce virtuous cycles of prosperity.”
Sandhu said in his speech before a sizable crowd of Indian business representatives
who were in town for the Select USA Summit.

The Indian delegation at Select USA is one of the biggest ever.
